Testimonials
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT US:
"Michael A. Davenport is one of the most impressive attorneys I have ever met. My case was unusual, not in the fact that it was family law, but the distance must have been challenging since I was all the way in Alaska. I have used Mr. Davenport twice, and each time he handled it with the utmost efficiency and promptness. One of the things that I like about Michael is that he had a very calming effect when he spoke to me and always returned my calls or emails. This was especially important seeing that thousands of miles separated us. I always felt that Mr. Davenport was taking excellent care of me and would not hesitate, in the least, to recommend him." Client R.T.
"You handled my divorce and made a challenging situation easier. As a member of the U.S. military, you understand the extraordinary circumstances that arise from serving. I trust your judgment and appreciate your dedication to my case." Client J.G.
"In August of 2005, after surviving Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, my husband died in the line of duty while working as a deputy sheriff. In November of 2005, my then 5 year old daughter and I moved to Texas. While living in Texas, the Louisiana Department of Justice, required me to file a "Letter of Tutorship" to obtain monetary and college benefits for my daughter. Well, not exactly knowing what that was, I contacted several attorneys here in Texas but to no avail, they didn't know what Louisiana wanted either. Nor did they want to try and figure it out for me. I discovered that Louisiana laws didn't quite translate into Texas laws. So, I was at my wits end ready to just give it all up. Until, one day I was surfing the web and decided to do a search on Family Law. This is when I came across Attorney Michael Davenport. Not knowing who he was, I didn't have much hope considering no one else could or wanted to help me. I called him and explained to him what LDOJ was requiring and he actually listen to me. He told me over the phone that he didn't quite know what a tutorship letter was but wanted to meet to see if we could figure it out. This was a breathe of fresh air but I didn't get my hopes up yet considering how long it had been and how tired I had become. Well, to my surprise after meeting with Mr. Davenport, I knew he was a Godsend. He listened to me, which was a definite plus, to have someone paying attention to me finally. He contacted the benefits attorney for the LDOJ to see what they were looking for and this is when we found that we were needing to have a Guardianship filed here in Texas for my minor child. What a relief to have someone on my side guiding me, encouraging me and never giving up even when things aren't so clear." Client T.J.B.
